About Us

Whether you are looking for idea’s on positions and poses, currently one of our clients, or just browsing, we at Gates Taxidermy Inc. would like to thank you for taking the time to visit us! We hope you enjoy viewing our work as much as we have enjoyed the opportunity to satisfy our customers.

Gates Taxidermy Inc. was formed in February of 2008.  Having worked for Hawkins Taxidermy for nearly 15 years, Trevor Gates was informed they would soon be closing their doors after almost 100 years in business. With Trevor's skill and passion for taxidermy, it made sense to open up his own store following the closing of Hawkins.  A further indication that it was the perfect time to open his own store was that his father, Jim, who was also an employee of Hawkins and had been pursuing his own passion in taxidermy since 1969, would soon be looking for another venue to showcase his talents. Confident in their industry experience and their ability to provide their clients with a level of quality and service that far exceeded expectations, Gates Taxidermy Inc. was formed.

Everyone at Gates Taxidermy is committed to preserving your gaming memories through extremely high quality taxidermy and professional service. With over 50 years experience and after having mounted thousands of specimens, you have likely seen some of our work displayed around the globe. We have worked on “Locked at Lac Seul” and the reproduction of the Hansen Buck for All Canada Shows, and many many more high profile pieces for high profile displays. We have shown throughout the years that we have the experience and know-how required to preserve your trophy, &/or provide you with a beautiful decorative piece, for years of memories.

Gates Taxidermy is truly a family business.  Thank you to all the customers we have worked with in the past and welcome to our future clients and friends!

Thank you!
